Big Bay Beach

Big Bay Beach

Big Bay is home to one of the most beautiful beaches along the West Coast. Most of our holiday, accommodation will give you the opportunity to enjoy views of the beach without stepping outside but, you're bound to be so enticed by the panoramic site of Table Mountain and Robben Island, a walk along the beach is an experience you won't want to pass up on.

On the left side of Big Bay Beach, you will find Blouberg Beach, which offers a beautiful stretch perfect for a walk or a jog. There's few ways to start your day off better than with a job along the beach.

The beach itself has two rocky points that extend far out into the sea. This has created a bay in which locals partake in surfing, wind surfing as well as swimming. Big Bay Beach has white sand with a few pebbles scattered around.

Just as with the rest of the beaches in Table Bay, when it's windy, a walk on the beach can be unpleasant. During calmer weather, the beach is at its best. For refreshments, there are a number of restaurants and cafe's along the beachfront where you can enjoy a tasty breakfast or sundowners with friends.

Big Bay is definitely one of the best places in Cape Town to enjoy a holiday with each access to the beach.
